End of the year reflection or how to set productive goals
Unless you make different actions you will gain the same results.
That’s why 80% of begining of the year resolutions fail by mid-February.
Do it different and succeed this year!
Everyone have dreams everyone set #goals but not everyone live them.
“Envision your life life a year from now. What does a perfect workday look like for you? What about perfect weekend day? Who is with you, where are you, and what are you doing? /the more detailed, the better/ etc. etc. etc.”< <Sigh>>
Every year, we all develop these comprehensive plans for our lives, career, and families around December and January. However, by Spring we are unable to remember the plan, locate the notebook or the picture in our phone, then we are at a loss.
This is something I experienced for years, until I decided to do it differently.
How?
2 Steps:
#1
✔️Develop a living plan written in sand not stone, so it can be flexible as life changes during the year.
✔️ Limit your overall goals to 2-3 maximum. Be realistic! Keep it simple!
✔️Instead of creating a 12 months plan, do a 3 months plan. Repeat every quarter.
✔️Each Sunday, revisit the plan and identify 2-3 action items, to complete that week to reach your overall goals
✔️Saturdays, review the action items and score yourself ,100%, 50%, 25%, 0% completion for the week.
✔️Awards are always the exciting part! Award yourself with something $20 or less each week for completing a task.
✔️If you score 0% - 25%, one week, it happens, do not be hard on yourself, instead reflect on what prevented your success and make the necessary adjustments for the next week. Life happens!
This is how I do it differently and it works!
Repeat the process every 3 months.
#2
It become a tradition to set new goals and resolutions, especially for the New Year. And every year we fail by promising ourselves a “new life, new me” and not following with action or stay consistent. Perhaps we have to start by reflecting on what are we bringing into the new year and start choosing Ourselves VS Goals.
What would that be this year ?
-You with your big wishes or maybe more rest?
- Less hustles but more being present or even quality time with your family?
- Something new like a better strategy for your health, maybe a new relationships, or ending connections that don’t serve you, declutter stuff.

"he doesn't get much time for reflection"
Reflection is the 1st step by choosing ourselves and not setting “killer goals” unrealistic promises to yourself. But asking yourself right questions and set your year for success how is it sound? Let’s try it right now!
I prepared for you this template below, ask yourself these questions and reflect by giving honest answers. Choose ONE answer that comes to mind try to remember and if if doesn’t feel as a big event but it made a difference emotionally or on a physical level that count.
By experiencing positive (+) emotions that you received through reflecting back you increase self-confidence and your own abilities to grow.
And I promise it will set a trajectory for the upcoming year.
You need: something to write on where you can come back in the end of the year.
*Write the answers and don’t look until next December to see how much your life changed and what you achieved.

And back when we started - unless you make different actions you will gain the same results. And nothing makes those #goals priceless other than the clear #vision.
VISION SETS OUR GOALS BECAUSE SETTING GOALS IS THE 1ST STEP IN TURNING THE INVISIBLE INTO THE VISIBLE.
Having a goal or plan in place gives us a sense of #self-determination that we have the autonomy to make choices for our life and the competence to achieve them. No matter how big or small your goals are, having the right support and people next to you to start on a journey where you want to be in the next 30,60 or 90 days.
Let's reflect together and have a clear #strategy for the upcoming year.
May this year become the one you never forget!!!!
